Spending Some Alone Time to Return to Oneself
I've always been someone who questions ,wonders , loves to learn and hopefully evolves a bit in this lifetime. Not so long ago I had a very vivid dream that set my life on a new path. In this dream I was a child digging in a sandbox feeling so frustrated as the depth of the sandbox was so shallow my shovel would hit the bottom every time. Feeling confined I gathered the few tools I could fit in my small hands and looked out to a distant beach knowing this was the direction I was being drawn towards. The walk getting to the shore felt like a very long journey. It was a relief to finally be able to sit for a moment and catch my breath. This felt right..as I picked up my shovel and started to dig an old man with a curious eye approached inquiring why I had wandered off so far from the sandbox. I answered with a soft smile. "I wanted to dig deeper". Life is always pushing us to grow, at times it can take us outside of our comfort zone in order to take us to a place of deeper understanding about ourselves . And now this dream has become my reality. I've stepped outside of my comfort zone in search of what, I've yet to know. What I do know is the signs are all around If I pay close attention . Just about everyday as I walk the tidelines something shows up. Sometimes in a found object that the tides have brought in for me to contemplate and find the symbolism in. Other times it can be a story, a song or a muse that shows up at just the right time to teach and inspire me. I've created this site to serve as a space to come to...to soul search..to "return to oneself . To share my thoughts and future creations as well as others and their stories and insights that give me inspiration. For all soul seekers it's crucial that we step away for a time to sit in stillness , dig deeper to find not only the broken fragments of ourselves that need healing that we have tried to keep buried but also to unearth our beautiful treasures, talents and skills that we are all given in some form or another to nurture and share with the world . It's important not to lose your voice.. your unique way of expression. Your soul will speak to you, if you listen, give your soul the rest and peace it needs to find clarity. And although this blog is to work out what's very personal to me my hope is to encourage other soul seekers to dig deeper into their lives as well... to spend some alone time.. to discover and then return with a new and inspired perspective. Whatever your soul is doing, let it move forward at its own pace, with its own flow. You will return to yourself with renewed vitality and the answers you were awaiting. Even answers to questions you didn’t know you had, but your heart knew,
… be patient with yourself while you grow. Go with your heart and your soul, whatever they speak… they know the way.
